Terms

Last updated 1 November 2026

These terms cover using Get Me This, whether you make a wish list or claim a gift from one. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

About us

Get Me This is run by Hot Tequila Limited (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16902626) with its registered office at Dorset House, 5 Church Street, Wimborne, BH21 1JH.

The service

It’s free to make, share and claim from wish lists. We don’t sell anything ourselves: items link to other shops, and anything you buy is between you and that shop. We aren’t a party to that purchase.

You must be 16 or over to use Get Me This. A parent or guardian can make a list on a child’s behalf.

Your account

  • You sign in with a code sent to your email. Keep access to that email secure, as anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
  • You’re responsible for what happens on your lists, including changes made by co-owners you invite.
  • Tell us straight away if you think someone has got into your account.

Your wish list

  • You’re responsible for what you add to your list.
  • Prices, stock and product details come from shops and can change. Check them before buying.
  • When you add a link, we copy the product image to our storage so it keeps loading. If you own an image and want it removed, tell us.
  • You can delete a list at any time.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you add, such as list text, notes, messages and pictures you upload. You give us permission to store, copy and display it only so we can run Get Me This for you and the people you share your list with. This permission ends when you delete it, apart from copies in backups that are overwritten over time.

Only add content you have the right to share. We may use anonymised totals, which don’t identify you, to improve the service.

Claiming a gift

Marking a gift with “I’ll get this” tells everyone else it’s taken. It isn’t a purchase or a promise to the list owner, but please only claim things you mean to buy, and undo the claim if your plans change.

Fair use

Please don’t use Get Me This to:

  • add anything illegal, hateful, sexually explicit or meant to harass someone
  • send spam or pretend to be someone else
  • scrape or mine the site, overload it or get around its security
  • copy, reverse engineer or resell the service, or use it to train artificial intelligence models
  • use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you, without our permission

Anyone can report a list from the list page or the help page.

Our intellectual property

We own Get Me This, including its software, design, name and logo. You may use the site for your own personal use under these terms, but these terms don’t give you any other rights in it.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely without paying you.

Suspending or ending access

You can stop using Get Me This at any time and delete your account from your account page.

We may remove content, suspend a list or block access if these terms are broken, if the law requires it, or to protect other people or the service. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you why.

Availability and responsibility

We work hard to keep Get Me This running, but we provide it as it is and can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop features, and we’ll give notice where we reasonably can.

We’re not responsible for purchases from other shops, for a gift being bought twice, or for losses we couldn’t reasonably have foreseen. We’re also not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as outages at our providers or on the internet.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited by law. Nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Privacy and cookies

Our privacy notice explains what we store and who can see it, and our cookie policy lists the cookies we use.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example to reflect new features or changes in the law. We’ll update this page and the date at the top, and tell you by email before a significant change takes effect. If you don’t agree to the new terms, you can stop using Get Me This and delete your account.

General

  • These terms, with our privacy notice and cookie policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about using Get Me This.
  • If a court decides part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • We may transfer these terms to another organisation, for example if Get Me This is sold. This won’t affect your rights. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else.
  • No one else has rights under these terms, under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can decide any dispute about them. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.

If something goes wrong, please contact us first so we can try to sort it out.
